Health truly does not depend on 6 pack abs or even hitting the sport fitness equipment daily. An important part of being healthy is that you feel good about who you are and about your body. Self image does not depend on the shape or size of your body. It does not depend on your finding the perfect fat loss solution. Positive self image involves seeing one’s own personal worth.
Poor self image is a common problem. People awake every morning and hate the person that they see looking back at them in the mirror. They feel that they have little to contribute to the rest of the world.
If you are among the millions of people that wake up each morning hating themselves, start taking time to find one thing you like about who you are. It may be something that seems small to you but is vitally important to others. If you are a good parent, then that is one of the most important things that you can give a child and something you can be proud of.
Be careful about the people you spend most of your time with. If you are surrounded by negative people, you will have a negative attitude about life. If you surround yourself with positive people, you will have a positive attitude. You need to balance the people that drain you and those that can build you up.
While limiting the negative people you spend a majority of your time with, you also need to find people who you can also build up. Giving to others is one of the quickest boosts to self esteem that is available. Be sure that you are building people up and not just giving tearing them down. There are plenty of people in the world that will tear down people that are already having problems.
Health and self esteem are vitally connected. Without a good self esteem, you will never be healthy, no matter what shape your body is in. Building muscles will not build self esteem. Building friendship will. Take the right steps that will build self image and you will be rewarded with a lifetime of health.
