Are Your 6 Pack Abs Still Not Showing?
You’re getting disappointed, and it’s not surprising, because you have exercised those six pack abs for ever, and they are still not showing. How many more crunches do i have to do to get them defined enough to show as a great set of six pack abs?
To start with, you are not the only one in this state, there are many more people in this position, so take heart, and with a few changes, your abs and six pack will be showing very soon. Even with the best of intentions, which can be seen by the number of crunches we do daily, some people just cannot get their abdominals to show. You are sure that your abdominal muscles are way stronger, nevertheless they still don’t show, so what exactly is going on? Well, what you need to do first is to make absolutely sure that it is your abs that you are targeting in your crunches, an also make sure that you are not rushing them. For many exercisers, it is the number they can do in a fixed time that is what matters, but that lowers the standard of the exercise. To benefit more, you need to hold each contraction of the abs for a few seconds, and if you are rushing to beat the latest record of number of the crunches in two minutes, then you are not able to do this, and the crunches will not be as beneficial for you. So slow down, and improve the quality of your crunches, and any other exercises you do that target the abdominal muscles.
The next thing you need to do is to discover what your body fat ratio is – if you are a gym member, you can get weighed there and the scales will be able to tell you your body fat ratio if your bathroom scales aren’t able to. Your body fat ratio should be around 12, but if your ratio is much higher than this, then that confirms why your six pack abdominals are not showing. The body fat ratio is a guide to inform you how much body fat you have, and the bigger the number, the more fat you have. The more fat you have, the more layers of fat are covering your abs muscles, so provided you have been doing your exercises correctly, your abs will be well defined but just hidden by too much fat.
Now then, if too much is the cause of your abs to not be defined as great six pack abdominals what are your options? You can see that you need to lose some of those fat layers, and abs exercises alone will not achieve this for you. You must do some cardio exercises, to lose some fat. Don’t panic this doesn’t automatically mean that you have to workout even longer in the gym daily. You will probably spend less time on your abs crunches, with more time doing cardio. Combine this with eating a little less, you will be well on your way to losing some body fat. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet, and not over doing the drinks. The occasional drink is fine, but drinking alcohol on a regular basis is just providing your body with too many unneccessary calories.
So, to conclude, exercise appropriately, lose some body fat and your six pack abdominals will be defined and showing like those on others you’ve been jealously watching.

Six Pack Abs Women
Gest article written by:
Taylor McDonald, womens fitness trainer
With my personal fitness training, one thing I get asked alot is ‘how can women get a 6 pack?’ Many ladies try, and fail. While we agree is harder for a lady to grow flat ab muscles fast comapred to males, its certainly not out of the question. With the right approach you can do it easily.
I maintain that folks who wish for 6 pack abdominals, are usually serious with their goals and their level of training. Ladies who are after that ideal 6 pack, have often spent time and effort in spades, on their body already. One of the reasons I really love to train people like this, is that they know how serious about their goals they are!
Thats not to say that all the folks who read this, might only be starters. I know first hand thats theirs lots of newbies who are very serious about getting a 6 pack. Often its the only objective! The first words to them, is to be ready to change their eating habits and regieme, and work hard! The rewards a a huge bonus, and you’ll be so happey when you reach your goals.
So, how to go about getting six packs abs in women? Is the approach different to what men do? Is it even possible?
For sure! Ive helped lots of women over the years, to get six packs, and all it needs is a little bit of a different approach. Lets take a look at my top ideas for ripping up those abs:
Women dont have the same propencity to build muscle, due to a lack of testosterone to pack on dense muscle. This just means that a shift in training focus, and a change in the diet is all thats required to stimulate muscle growth.
As with any fitness ambition, one of the fundamentals is you must not only train the specific muscles, but also destroy the fat layer that sits over the stomach. The effect of this, is that the abs are exposed from underneath. When you reach this level, that awesome 6 pack abdominal look is totally yours.
If you want to remove this persistant layer of fat, the best method is to use a targeted cardio approach. One thing that I say to female clients, is to start pump or circuit training, as this is one of the great, fast ways to burn through flab.
Not only are they fun, they utilise the core for nearly all the actions involved. Join up to your gym today, or else get hold of some at home ‘pump’ DVD’s and try the class in your lounge.

Want a 6 Pack? Here’s How To Get It
What most people do not realize is that learning how to get a 6 pack is really not that hard.
The stumble block many people encounter is that they concentrate their efforts in the wrong place. As an example of one important area let’s take lower abs exercises.
The problem at the end is that altohugh so much time and money were invested, no real progress is made.
Take the advice here about how to get a 6 pack the right way and you’ll finally see success.
To begin with, you have to understand that your abdominal muscles lay beneath the surface of whatever fat your stomach and midsection has.
This means that you could build up your abs with the most intense, most effective muscle building exercises you could find, but if you still have a layer of fat over them, guess what?
Right, that means you still can’t see your abs because they are covered with the excess flab.
Therefore, while it is important to target your abdominals through effective training, it’s even more important to get rid of that stubborn fat so that the progress you do make is visible.
This has to be done through two ways, by changing your nutritional program and by burning off extra calories through your workouts.
To effectively change your diet you can try a favorite cutting down strategy that doesn’t require you to go hungry or avoid your favorite foods.
On the days that you work out, eat your recommended calorie total, whatever total would not have you gaining or losing weight.
On days you don’t work out, cut that total by 20%. So if you eat 2,500 calories normally, eat that amount every day you hit the gym or perform other rigorous exercise, and shoot for about 2,000 on days you don’t.
If you still aren’t losing weight, you can then reduce every day to the inactive day calorie totals.
Of course learning how to get a 6 pack also incorporates exercising, and as mentioned you will need to burn off a lot of those extra calories in this fashion.
You’re going to have to start doing cardio, or start doing more of it if you already are.
This doesn’t mean you have to hit up the treadmill for hours, it just means you have to be active in other ways besides lifting weights.
When you are lifting weights, you can make tweaks to your program so that you torch more calories in the process.
For example, you can incorporate supersets, which are two exercises of opposing muscle groups (biceps and triceps, quadriceps and hamstrings, etc) right after one another with no rest.
This will increase your heart pulse and your breathing.
You can also opt to try circuit training for your weightlifting, which will keep your metabolism revving on all cylinders.
It’s not recommmended to spend any money on the latest and greatest abs roller you see on a TV late night show.
Don’t waste hour after hour in the gym working out but not eating right.
Get your diet into check and then compliment that with a workout strategy that will torch calories and build strength. To conclude, using a good six pack abs exercise routing will help you get there.
